A man lost his life in La Loma, located in La Plata, after colliding with another vehicle and his car catching fire as a result of the impact. The tragic accident occurred at the intersection of 131 and 38 during the morning of a Saturday.
The victim died at the scene of the incident before he could be assisted by the Emergency Medical Attention Service (SAME). Residents of the area approached the location after hearing a loud crash and seeing the flames consuming the vehicle, which led them to immediately contact 911.
Upon the arrival of the authorities, it was confirmed that the driver of the Toyota Etios was already deceased due to the severity of his injuries. Security camera footage revealed that the vehicles had collided head-on, ending their trajectory on the sidewalk next to a light post.
At this moment, the relevant police forces are conducting the necessary investigations to determine the causes of the accident while reviewing the recordings from the security cameras in the area in search of clarifying what happened.
